Catherine Trúc Cầm Nguyễn

Catherine an award-winning director, producer, writer, and film festival programmer born and raised in California. She trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she graduated cum laude with a B.F.A. in Film & Television and a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media & Technology at NYU Stern. 

Her producing work includes CHICKEN, which world premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. Her directorial debut, WHITE BUTTERFLY, has screened internationally at major festivals including Hawai‘i International Film Festival, CAAMFest (AT&T InspirASIAN Undergraduate Winner), and Yale Student Film Festival (Best Director Winner). Her latest film, COLORS OF THE SKY’S END, shot in Vietnam, had its world premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival. Both of her latest films are now available on Galaxy Play, Vietnam's leading streaming platform.

Catherine is bilingual in English and Vietnamese, with professional experience across both U.S. and Vietnam markets. Her clientele include Volvo, Instagram, WhatsApp, and DevRev.
